Christy Suzy Royston Shaw

Mrs. Christy Suzy Royston Shaw, 55, of Deep Creek Road, Bowman, GA, wife of Michael Louis “Mike” Shaw, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Self Regional Healthcare.

Mrs. Shaw was born July 1, 1970, in Royston, GA, to Frank Royston and Eddie Sue Royston. She was an active and devoted member of Rehoboth Baptist Church, where she enjoyed overseeing the sound system and faithfully assisting with any needs within the church. Christy was currently employed with ESS and Mountain Education Charter High School in administration. She began her career with the Elbert County School System, where she served with dedication for many years.

Christy greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and was a devoted wife and loving mother. She especially looked forward to beach trips with her family and mountain adventures riding side-by-sides, creating cherished memories with those she loved.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Michael Louis “Mike” Shaw; son, Christopher Michael Shaw; daughter, Mikayla Suzy Shaw; mother, Eddie Sue Royston; brothers, Donald Royston and Ricky Royston; sister, Lynn Royston; and father- and mother-in-law, Louis and Annie Shaw.

She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Royston.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Rehoboth Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Berry Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery with Dillon Crawford, Taylor Woody, John Shaw, Tyler Shaw, Todd Maxwell, & Jake Pruitt serving as pallbearers.
