Clifford Leroy Gardner

Mr. Clifford Gardner, age 83, entered into rest on Monday, May 2, 2022. Clifford was born in Iva, South Carolina to the late Glenn Post Gardner, Sr. and Evelyn Monroe Gardner. He loved to be outdoors and retired from the City of Elberton where he managed the cemeteries and enjoyed planting flowers on the square. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Evelyn Revels Garner Gardner; daughter, Margaret Garner; and grandson, Joshua Bolmon. He is survived by his three step children, Richard Garner (Maria), Randy Garner, and Linda Virgilio (Jerry); four grandchildren, Renee Oviedo, Kristen Oviedo, Christa Bolmon, and Raymond Garner; two brothers and one sister, Frank Gardner, Joe Gardner, and Barbara Brown; and thirteen great grandchildren. The family received friends on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Hicks Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M. Following the visitation, a graveside service was held at Elmhurst Cemetery at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Bill Jones officiating. Arrangements for Mr. Clifford Gardner were in the care of Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Elberton.
