Dixie Maxwell Ayers

Mrs. Dixie M. Maxwell Ayers, age 77 and lifelong resident of Bowman, died January 31, 2009.Mrs. Ayers was born in Elbert County, GA to the late Boyce L. Maxwell and Lizzie Mae Moore Maxwell and was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church.She was a member of North Georgia Daylily Club for 20 years and retired from Rogan, Inc. as office manager. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Joe Ayers of Bowman; sister, Gwendolyn M. Denny of Warner Robins; niece, Libby Zink of McCamey, TX; many other nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 3 at 11:00 AM in Hicks Funeral Home Chapel.Rev. Joe Hulsey and Rev. Gary Purvis officiating.Interment will follow at Rehoboth Baptist Baptist Church.The family will receive friends Monday evening 6-8 PM at the funeral home.The family will be accepting flowers and those desiring may make contributions in Mrs. Ayers name to Rehoboth Baptist Church Building Fund. Hicks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Mrs. Dixie M. Maxwell Ayers.
