Donna Rose Davis Bond

Mrs. Donna Rose Davis Bond, 64, of Stinchcomb Road, Dewy Rose, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at her residence following a brave battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Donna was born in Elberton on July 11, 1961, youngest child of the late Lee Clark Davis and Norma Lee Duffell Davis. She was a 1979 graduate of Elbert County High School, was member of New Town Baptist Church, and attended Antioch Baptist Church as long as her health permitted.

Donna worked for many years at Brown Transport Company, Monroe Automotive, and later retired from Group Underwriters. She was an animal lover, often bringing home stray animals to love and comfort. Donna never met a stranger, and talked to everyone she came in contact with. She was always on the go doing for others, and especially loved her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald Ray Bond; children: Chana LeAnne DeGrave and her husband Wes of Dewy Rose and Joshua Ray Richmond Bond and his wife Kira of Elberton; grandchildren: Savanna, Maverick, and Legend; brothers: Michael Davis of Elberton and Randall Davis of Athens; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family wishes to acknowledge Donna’s longtime friend and devoted caregiver, Daphne Bush, for her many years of friendship and most recently the excellent care she provided to Donna.

Donna’s family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 29, from 6:00-8:00p.m. at Berry Funeral Home.

Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30, at 2:00p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Ken Thrift. She will be laid to rest beside her mother in the New Town Baptist Church cemetery.
