Doris Laverne Bowen Toney

Mrs. Doris Laverne Bowen Toney, 54, of Athens, wife of John Toney, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center. 

Mrs. Toney was born in Athens on February 21, 1971, daughter of the late Jack and Elise Williams Bowen. She worked in the receiving department at Kroger. 

Surviving, in addition to her husband John, is her children: Isaiah Patrick, Brandon Toney, and Jordan Toney; sister, Carolyn Dawson; and a host of other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Lamar Bowen.
