Eugene Boyd Argo

Mr. Eugene Boyd Argo, age 94, passed away on October 20, 2026. A native of Lexington, GA, Eugene was the son of the late William Jasper and Hassie Couch Argo.

Eugene was a founding member of the Elberton Christian Church and was a US Navy Veteran. He retired from Bellsouth and owner of Argo Hardware from 1973 to 1995. Eugene loved the outdoors where he spent much of his time cutting grass, fishing, and gardening.

Survivors include his children; Lynette (Ken) Ritch, Suzette (Rodney) Blount, Kim (Anna) Argo; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Eugene was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine Thomas Argo and his eight siblings.

Funeral services will be held Saturday October 24, 2026 at 2pm in the Berry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm prior to the service.
