Mrs. Frances Dockery Bennett Mrs. Frances Dockery Bennett, age 67, of Elberton, died peacefully in her home September 14, 2008.She was co-owner of Bennett’s Gun and Tackle in Bowman. Frances was a woman with more love, heart, and strength to last 10 lifetimes.She was extremely loved and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her husband of over 52 years, Frank Bennett, of Elberton; daughter, Christina (Rod) Phillips, of Griffin; sons, Dwayne (Kimberly) Bennett, of Savannah, Doug Bennett, of Elberton; grandchildren, Autumn Rennie, of Atlanta, Reed Phillips, ofCharleston, SC, Ryan Phillips, stationed at US Army Ft. Campbell, KY, Alexander Bennett, of Savannah, Joshua Bennett, Stationed at US Army Ft. Bliss, TX, Blake Bennett, Elberton; great-granddaughter, Allyson Phillips, Charleston, SC; sister Linda Howell, of Hartwell; brother William Vassey Dockery, Jr. of OR; sister-in-law and lifelong friend, Blondine Massey, of Canon. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 17, 2:00 PM, in Hicks Funeral Home Chapel.Rev. James Creason officiating.The family will receive friends Tuesday evening 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Hicks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
