George R. Maxwell

George R. Maxwell, 67, formerly of 2104 Brewers Mill Road, Elberton, passed away Wednesday morning, January 4, 2012, at Spring Valley Health Care Center. Mr. Maxwell was born in Elbert County, August 17, 1944, to the late Fred Robert Maxwell, Sr. and Mary Jones Maxwell. He was a retired big saw operator in the granite industry and of the Baptist faith. Left to cherish his memories are a brother, Olin Maxwell, Sr. of Ila, GA, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his siblings, William Maxwell, Fred Robert Maxwell, Jr., and Barbara Maxwell Hall. The family has chosen cremation, and no services are scheduled at this time.
