Hawthorne Bridger Fields

Hawthorn Bridger Fields began playing with his sister, Iris, on January 17, 2026.

He was a healthy, perfect baby boy who was carried, cared for, and loved immeasurably by his mom, dad and big sister, Lilia. He was born at 4:15 p.m. after his mama suffered a high fever and severe illness for four days. He weighed 13.5 oz and was 11in long. Hawthorn Bridger is the beloved son of Kristopher Michael Fields and Kelssie Taylor Dickerson Fields. His proud big sister is Lilia Thira Fields. The Fields family resides in Athens.

My precious baby boy is named Hawthorn Bridger Fields. Hawthorn is a medicinal plant know for its support with heart and grief healing properties. Bridger Teton National forest is a place that carries so much beauty and adventure. We took the chance to visit and we loved it. Even though my beautiful boy is not with me, I know he is in a place of great love and majestic adventure. I will carry him and his sister with me and see them in every adventure. My God is good. One day, we will all see that together.

Beloved grandparents are Tracie and Allen Fields of Hartwell and Darrell and Michelle Dickerson of Dewy Rose; and great-grandparents are Beverly and Henry Drennan of Dewy Rose; Uncles and aunts include Dylan and Kelli Fields of Athens, Kinsley Dickerson of Royston, Kassidy and Matthew Swords of New Bern, NC, Michael Drennan of Commerce, Darlene and Brian Gilmer of Greenville, SC, Donald Dickerson of Dewy Rose, and Garnett and Robert Dickerson of Elberton. His cousin is Orin Dean Swords.

He was welcomed to Heaven by his sister, Iris Erié; great-great-grandmother, Mama Jac; great-grandparents: Theresa and Ronald Brochu, Mildred and TJ Fields, Charles Dickerson, and Evelyn Norton; as well as two infant aunts born after his mother.

Even though Hawthorn Bridger only spent a short amount of time with us, he was immensely loved and brought immeasurable joy to those around him. He will continue to be used in mighty ways as we carry his memory with us. We will enjoy and find pleasure in God’s gift of life on this planet. We will continue to travel to fun places and take a little piece of him with us always.

He will be laid to rest beside his sister at Fork Creek Baptist Church cemetery in Bowman.
