Helen Jane Anglin Angel

Mrs. Helen ‘Jane' Anglin Angel, age 61, of Carlton, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by family. Jane is now resting and rejoicing with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Jane was born in Royston on May 18, 1965, daughter of Rev. William Dupree Anglin and the late Sarah Hellen Flowers Anglin. She loved her job as a caregiver and helped countless people throughout her life. She was a member of Welcome Avenue Congregational Holiness Church where she loved playing her banjo as often as her health would allow. Jane will be greatly missed by her family and those fortunate enough to call her a friend.

Surviving, in addition to her father, are her husband, Michael Angel; children: Bobby Paul Matthews and his wife Mandy and Madyson Matthews Parsons and her husband Christopher; siblings: Danny William Anglin and Deborah Callaway and her husband Loyd; six grandchildren: Jordan, Tyler, Trevor, Trent, Marykate, and Greyson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Jane is preceded in death by her mother and siblings: Jerry Anglin and Shevonda Anglin Cowart.

The family will host a memorial service on Saturday, September 26, at 1:00p.m. at Welcome Avenue Congregational Holiness Church, located at 1140 Crawford Smithonia Road, Crawford, with the Rev. Kendall Callaway officiating.
