Hilna Webb Bond

"What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived--the things God has prepared for those who love him."

--1 Corinthians 2:9.

Mrs Hilna Webb Bond, 91. of Ridgecrest Drive, Elberton, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, November 6, 2025, surrounded by loving family.

Born in Elbert County on March 16, 1934, Hilna was the daughter of the late Pope Dalton Webb and Tommie Bond Webb. Hilna was strong, spirited, and determined. She loved shopping, going out to eat, and visiting with family and friends. She was a lifelong member of Doves Creek Baptist Church.

Her determination served her well the last few months in her battle with cancer. Though difficult, Hilna faced the time with strength and courage, finding solace in her Savior, Jesus Christ.

Survivors include her children Terri Blackmon (Dan) of Greenville, SC; Marcia Sullivan (Harry) of Germantown, TN; Cindy King (Chuck) of Jacksonville, FL, Wesley Bond (Mandy) of Monroe, GA; and Jason

Bond of Anchorage, AK; grandchildren: Will Blackmon and Mindy Miller, Harrison Sullivan and Elisabeth Reed; Ryan and Lindsey King; Sara Smith and Lexi Bond;and Katie Carrington, Hannah DeVore, and Cory Bond; and a host of great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Bond is also survived by her beloved sister, Virginia Oakley and sister-in-law Nancy Webb.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Colonel Horace Bond; brothers Vernon and Maurice Webb; sisters Helen Norman and Betty Blackmon; and grandson Brandon Fulbright.

Contributions may be made in her memory to the Cemetery Fund at Fortsonia Baptist Church, 2616 Washington Highway, Elberton, GA 30635.
