Jarrett Adam Franklin

Jarrett Adam Franklin, 47, of Jacksonville, FL and a native of Elberton, GA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, following an extended illness.

Jarrett was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. His marriage to Julie of 18 years was full of wonderful memories, sweet times, and lots of laughter. Their love for each other, and for Maddie, was tangible and felt by all who spent time with them. In addition to building a beautiful family, he faithfully served at The Church of Eleven22 in Jacksonville.

A 1994 graduate of Elbert County Comprehensive High School, Jarrett served in the United States Navy before starting his own business, Franklin Electric Service, Inc.

Jarrett enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing, exercising, and serving at his church. He mostly enjoyed telling others about Jesus and sharing all of the good things He was doing in his life. Jarrett leaves a legacy of love, faith, hard work, and laughter.

He considered his illness a “blessing, watching the Lord open doors, and looking for ways He would be glorified”. He was generous with his time, talents, and resources, always willing to help and serve others.

Jarrett is survived by his beautiful wife, Julie and their precious daughter, Madelyn “Maddie”, of Jacksonville, FL; his parents, Merrill and Ellen Bradford Franklin of Elberton, GA; his brothers: Jason (Daniele, Justin, Jacqueline, Luka, Dylan, Lauren Gray) Franklin of Elberton, GA and Josh (Megan, Charlie Kate, Myles) Franklin of Jefferson, GA; his grandmother, Nell Smith Bradford of Elberton, GA; his aunt, Melanie (Bob) Childs of Elberton, GA; his uncle, John (Renee) Bradford of Elberton, GA; his uncle, Mark (Sherry) Bradford of Elberton, GA; his aunt, Patricia (Asbury) Dunn of Elberton, GA; his aunt, Brenda Franklin of Elberton, GA; and many cousins.

Jarrett is preceded in death by his grandfather, B. Mattox Bradford; his grandfather, Reverend Thomas Watson Franklin, Sr.; his grandmother Reba Dye Franklin; and his uncle, Thomas “Tommy” W. Franklin, Jr., all of Elberton, GA.

Jarrett’s Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00p.m. on Saturday, November 4, at The Church of Eleven22 Arlington Campus, 651 Commerce Center Dr #100, Jacksonville, FL 32225. In addition, Berry Funeral Home will have a guest book available until Friday, November 10.
