Jarrod Adam Scales

Mr. Jarrod Adam Scales, age 28, of Elberton died November 17, 2008.He was the son of Robert William “Pete” Scales and Shelia Black Freeland.He attended New Town Baptist Church in Carlton and worked locally in the granite industry. He is survived by his parents Shelia and Bruce A. Freeland; Robert William “Pete” and Dowlena Scales; grandparents, Donald and Brenda Lovinggood, grandmother, Blanche Burden; great-grandmother, Vera Evans, all of Elberton; brothers, Jason Scales, of Elberton, Bruce Freeland, Jr. of Lincolnton; sister, Heather Scales of Elberton; many cousins, aunts, and uncles. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 20, at 2:00 PM in Hicks Funeral Home Chapel.Rev. Chuck Black officiating.The family will receive friends Wednesday evening 6-8 PM at the funeral home.Flowers will be accepted and those desiring may make donations in Jarrod’s name to New Town Baptist Church.The family will be at the residences of Sheila Freeland of 1795 Athens Hwy. and Pete Scales of 1736 Jerry Lane in Elberton. Hicks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Mr. Jarrod Adam Scales.
