John Walter Ingram

Mr. John Walter “Johnny” Ingram, 71, of Petersburg Road, Elberton, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Nancy Hart Nursing Center.

Mr. Ingram was born in Elberton on August 10, 1951, son of the late Elmer Clyde Ingram and Pearl Blanche Fields Ingram. He worked as a painting contractor most of his life, and retired as safety officer at Pyramid Granite Quarry. Above all, he loved his family dearly and a close second was the University of Georgia Bulldogs.

Survivors include his children: Joshua Lee (Stacy) Frank of Burke, VA, Dustin Lee (Jennie Norris) Ingram of Chicago, IL, and Brooke Ingram (Austin) Earley of High Point, NC; siblings: Carolyn Bundrick (Floyd) Tiller of Winder and Joan Floyd of Grifftin; grandchildren: Evan James Frank and Theophilus Benjamin Frank; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings: Sandra Campos and Billy Ingram.

A private graveside service will be held at Elmhurst Cemetery.
