"Fluffy"

Mrs. Joyce Ann Jordan Brown, 76, of Elberton, GA wife of the late John Douglas Brown passed away Monday, September 7, 2026 at Piedmont Athens Hospital.

A native of Elberton, GA, Joyce was the daughter of the late Luther Bodie and Nettie Turman Jordan. Joyce was retired but in her working days she was a truck driver and was the owner and operator of Fluffy’s Tavern in Elberton. Joyce loved her family and spending time with them. Joyce loved coloring, word search puzzles, crocheting, and entering her crafts into the Elbert County Fair where she won a number of ribbons. Joyce was a member of Elberton Church of God.

Survivors include her son; Kevin (Rachel) Brown; step son; Rex Brown; grandchildren; Kayla (Chris) Huff, Merrissa (Nick) White; great grandchildren; CJ Huff, Jalyn White, Skylar White.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband John Douglas Brown, her step son Dwayne Brown and her siblings Berthene Booth, Idalene Cothran, Lorene Beavers, Ronald Jordan, Rosie Anderson, Helen Wilson Claire Shead King and Lavinia Shead Hubbard.

Funeral services will be held Friday September 11, 2026 at 1pm in the Berry Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Elmhurst Cemetery with Bobby Moon, Cody Kidd, Henry Holsenback, Shane Johnson, Brian Huff and Jerry Norris serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Thursday night September 10, 2026 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
