Judy Fortson Howell

Mrs. Judy Fortson Howell, 73, of North Augusta, SC, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025, Piedmont Augusta Hospital.

Mrs. Howell was born on February 8, 1952, in Royston, GA, daughter of the late Charles E. Fortson and the late Doris Floyd Fortson. She was a homemaker and was of the Methodist faith. 

Survivors include her husband, Larry Howell, of North Augusta, SC; son, Jason E. Howell (Rhonda) of North Augusta, SC; daughter, Jennifer Howell Walker (Duke) of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; sister, Peggy Fortson (John Carrick) of Baldwin, GA; grandchildren, Andrea Howell, Riley Howell, Alyssa Walker, and Emily Walker. 

The casket will be open for viewing at Pruitt Funeral Home on Friday, December 26. 2025, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. A private family service will be held at a later date. The family is at their respective homes. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital or to a charity of one’s choice.
