Karen Mae Walker-Macks

Mrs. Karen Mae Walker-Macks, age 51, of Paoli Road, Carlton, GA, wife of James Allen “Jamie” Macks, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at her residence.

Karen was born in North Dakota on July 22, 1971, daughter of Marcia Broadway Viers and Steven Viers. She was raised in Hapeville, GA and graduated from Morrow Senior High School. A beloved mother who devoted her time to caring for her family, Karen loved being outdoors, especially camping by the water.

Surviving, in addition to her husband of Carlton, GA and her parents of Arkansas, are her children: Brittany Smithers of Myrtle Beach, SC, Amber Smithers of Hartwell, GA, Hailey Macks of Carlton, GA and Anthony Macks of Kentucky; siblings: Kimberly Miller of Covington, GA and Kristin Viers-Dillon of Senoia, GA; grandchildren: Harleigh Peace, Josie Macks, T.J. Smithers, and Davien Sanders; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A visitation and viewing celebrating Karen’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 17, from 4:00-6:00p.m. at Berry Funeral Home.
