Mrs. Kim Marie Blackmon Johnson, 68, of Hamp Brown Rd. Elberton, GA passed away Monday, March 23, 2026 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Johnson was born August 31, 1957 to Kenneth Orin Blackmon, Sr. and Naomi Collins Smith. She was a member of Dewy Rose Baptist Church, member of Daughters of the American Revolution, and a member of Aglow International. Kim’s career was an interior designer and author. Kim also a veteran where she served her country in the U.S. Army National Guard.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Jennifer Johnson Willis and Kevin Willis and her son Jim Wesley Blackmon, Jr.; brothers and sisters-in-law: Frank and Janice Blackmon, Brandon and Amy Smith; sister: Renee Blackmon; grandchildren: Dustin Willis, Sr. (Morgan), Nikki Yarbrough (Evan), Austin Johnson (Samantha), Malia Teasley (Tommy), Collin Johnson; great-grandchildren: Dakota Johnson, Wyatt Willis, Charlee Willis, Elias Yarbrough and Elliott Yarbrough.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Howard Johnson, Jr., son: James Howard “Jamey” Johnson, brothers: Kenneth Orin Blackmon, Jr., Jim Wesley Blackmon, Sr. and a great-grandchild: Elijah Yarbrough.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 1PM, Thursday, March 26, at Dewy Rose Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Martin and Dustin Willis, Sr. Officiating. Interment will follow in Oakbrook Memorial Park in Hodges, SC. at 3PM.

The family will receive friends from 12PM to 1PM just prior to the service at Dewy Rose Baptist Church.
