Larry Laverne Cox

Mr. Larry Laverne Cox, 75, of Fork Creek Road, Bowman, GA, husband of Sandra Jean Dunn Davis Cox, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital. 

Mr. Cox was born in Chattanooga, TN on January 17, 1951, son of the late Lester Cox and Louise Milwood Cox. He was a retired HVAC technician. 

In addition to his wife, Sandra, he is survived by his son, Bryan Cox of Lavonia, GA; stepchildren: Jeremy David and Chad Davis; siblings: Catherine Dobbs and Jeanie Cox; two grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.  

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Carol Jarrell. 

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
