Larry Edward Munday

Larry “Pop” Edward Munday Sr., age 84, of Lexington, Georgia, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and strong man of faith. Pop lived a full life marked by hard work, humor, and love, which inspired everyone around him. His unwavering faith served as an inspiration to his family, friends, and community.

Born on January 23, 1941, in Athens, Georgia, Larry dedicated his life to providing for his family and serving others. He worked proudly as a truck driver for over 50 years, traveling countless miles across the country. He took pride in his work, his family, and his faith — and he never met a stranger he couldn’t make laugh.

Larry was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Margaret Millie (Patton) Munday and son-in-law Lee Tiller. He is survived by his children, Ginger Tiller (Lee), Sandra Corry (James), Ed Munday Jr. (Alana), and Ronald Munday; grandchildren, Amber Tiller, Grace Corry and Gus Corry.

Larry will be remembered for his abundance of Dad jokes, his resolute faith, and his love for his family. Though he has reached his final destination here on earth, his journey continues in Heaven.

Per his wishes, there will be no memorial service. The family asks that those who knew him to honor his memory by telling jokes, leading a life full of kindness and grace towards others, and lending a helping hand to someone in need — the way he always did.

“Keep on truckin’, until we meet again.” We love you, Pop.
