Leigh Anne Ridgeway Floyd

Mrs. Leigh Anne Ridgeway Floyd, 64, of Elberton Highway, Dewy Rose, wife of Hugh ‘Dennis’ Floyd, passed away suddenly but peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at her residence.

Leigh was born in Elberton on April 9, 1962, daughter of Henry Darrell Ridgeway and Anne Warren Riley Minshew. She was a homemaker and attended Impact Church in Hartwell. Leigh enjoyed spending time in the kitchen cooking, but her favorite past time was horse back riding. She was a devoted wife and loving mother, and was so proud to be a “Mimi.”

Surviving are her husband, Dennis; mother, Anne Minshew; father, Darrell Ridgeway and Patti; children: Drew Durham and Megan, Carter Worley and Dex, Grayson Higginbotham, Christopher Floyd and Marlia, and Cynthia Beeson and Joey; grandchildren: Navy Worley, Indy Worley, Zayden Worley, Alexis Tucker, Aleigha Tucker, Aliza Beeson, Georgia Durham, Eli Durham, and Stella Floyd; siblings: Mark Ridgeway, Fran Floyd and Keith, Katharine Keblish and Basil, Clint Ridgeway, Chad Ridgeway and Christina, Justin Ridgeway and Haley; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 30, from 10:00a.m. until 10:45a.m. at Berry Funeral Home. Funeral services, officiated by the Rev. Tim Adams, will follow at 11:00a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
