Linda Elaine Harrison Bell

Mrs. Linda Elaine Harrison Bell, 82, of Vesta, died peacefully at her home after a short battle with cancer on August 9, 2026.

Linda is the second daughter of Henry Isaac and Annie Ruth Holloman Harrison. She was born at home and grew up in Vesta. Linda met the love of her life, Bud Bell, when a group of friends came to her home for a game of cards. Bud and Linda’s card game never ended. They married in 1963 and they moved to Oklahoma when Bud was deployed to Vietnam in 1967. They moved back to Vesta in 1968 when he returned from deployment. They welcomed their son into the world in 1977.

Linda worked at UGA as a secretary for a time before starting her life long career in the granite industry. She has held every office position in granite except for drafting. She started at Coggins, and then moved to Georgia Granite. She then worked at Worley Brothers and Republic Granite. Linda retired in her mid-seventies from Dixie Granite.

She was a faithful member of Vesta Baptist Church for many years. Linda taught Sunday School for over 50 years, helped with the youth and children’s plays from the 1970s through the 1990s and sang in the choir. She would also travel to other churches and conferences and sing with her siblings and other family members in a group.

One of her favorite past times was to work in her flower beds and garden. Linda had a green thumb like no other. She was always the caretaker of the family, and she took care of her beloved Bud in their later years until her own health declined and she became the one that needed to be cared for. Her love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ never wavered and she is finally at home with Him.

Along with her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her siblings, Clyde Terrance “Terry” Harrison, Timothy Randolph “Randy” Harrison, Lucy Kay Aguilar, and Gregory Michael “Bo” Harrison.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Robert Neal “Bud” Bell Sr.; her son, Robert “Robby” Bell Jr. (Katherine); grandsons, Noah and Jase Bell; honorary granddaughters: Hope Freeman and Olivia Aguilar; siblings: Dorothy Anne Jones and Henry Ronald “Ronnie” Harrison; and a huge host of nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 11, from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at Berry Funeral Home.

Funeral services celebrating Linda’s life will be conducted on Wednesday, August 12, at 2:00p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. David Burt officiating. Interment will be in the Vesta Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date.

Honorary pallbearers are Tim Jones, Dwayne Harrision, Eric Aguilar, Dusty Harrision, Chris Smith, and Jackson Freeman.

Flowers are accepted, and contributions may be made in Linda’s to the charity of one’s choice.
