Loretta Whitmire Seymour, 83, of 1705 Bullards Ferry Road, Elberton, wife of the late Joseph V. Seymour, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Elbert Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Seymour was born in Morgan County, August 21, 1929, to the late William and Jennie Folds Whitmire. She was a member of Bethel E Baptist Church and attended Elberton Christian Church. Loretta was retired from the textile industry and was the "Heart and Soul" of Seymour's Produce for many years. Left to cherish her memories are three children, Rodney Seymour and his wife Annette, Alan Seymour, and Elaine Oglesby and her husband Tom, all of Elberton; grandchildren, Skeeter and Amanda Seymour, Stewart and Beth Seymour, Kimberly and Daniel Bonds, Brett and Stacie Seymour, Everett Seymour, Garrett Seymour, Chase and Leah Seymour, Kevin and Allison Rice, and Melanie Alberton; great-grandchildren, Justin Rice, Austin Albertson, Samantha Floyd, Brady Seymour, Brooke Seymour, Bailey Seymour, Landon, Logan, Talon, and Ashton Bonds; great-great-grandchildren, Mia Grace Floyd and Tripp Floyd; and sisters, Mary Ellen Conwell of Danielsville and Ruth Seymour and her husband Kenneth of Bowman. Mrs. Seymour is preceded in death by great-grandson, Jacob Cruz Bonds. Graveside services celebrating her life will be held Saturday, April 6, at 11:00AM in Forest Hills Memorial Park with the Rev. Bill Eaton officiating. The family is at the home of Tom and Elaine Oglesby, 1701 Bullards Ferry Road, Elberton.
