Marlene Marie Powers

Mrs. Marlene Marie Wilson Powers, 87, of Pine Hill Dr. Elberton, GA passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025.

Mrs. Powers was born January 28, 1938 in Hartwell, GA to Samuel Washington Wilson and Helen Rudell Chastain Wilson. She was a member of West End Baptist Church and also the church pianist.

She is survived by children: Sandra Marie Ehrig and Bob of Elberton, GA, Bruce Evans and Jan of Elberton, GA, Vanessa Sandifer of Shady Spring, W.VA, Rhonda Crook of Oxford, GA; nine grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Roy Gene Powers, brother: Sammy Wilson, sister: Mamie Weaver and a great-grandchild.

Graveside funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 2PM, Monday, May 5 at Elmhurst Cemetery with Rev. Richard Fife officiating. The family will greet friends at the cemetery immediately following the service.
