Mrs. Mary Ann Vaughn Suttles Bradford, 86, of Lexington Highway, Elberton, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at her residence.
Mary Ann was born and raised in the Middleton Community of Elbert County. She was a 1958 graduate of Nancy Hart Memorial High School. Mary Ann worked at Elberton Manufacturing, retiring from the shipping department after over 40 years of service. She was raised attending the Bethel E Baptist Church, and also attended West End Baptist Church.
She loved spending time with family and friends. Not only was she known as Mary Ann, she became "Nana" to almost everyone. Being the strong willed woman she was, she fought her declining health issues and cancer until the end. Mary Ann always put God first, knowing he would see her through. Nana will always be loved and truly missed.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years, William 'Boyd' Bradford of the residence; son, Ricky Suttles and his wife Rachel of Elberton; granddaughter, Ashley Johnson and her husband Matt of Elberton; siblings: Calvin and Sara Margaret Vaughn, Bobby and Judy Vaughn, Curtis and Ann Vaughn, and Beth and Jerry Oglesby, all of Elberton; sister-in-law, Shirley Vaughn of Elberton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mary Ann loved Boyd's family just as if they were her own. They include daughter, the late Tracey Bond; son, Larry Bradford and his wife Cathy of Elberton; grandchildren: Katie Carrington and her husband Josh, the late Brandon Fulbright, Hannah DeVore and her husband Brandon, Cory Bond and his wife Shay, and Jennifer Motes; and great-grandchildren: Boyd, Cayden, Bryton, Harper, and Blakelynn.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Vernon Eugene Vaughn and Inez Turman Vaughn; husband, Woody Marshall Suttles; and siblings: Vernon Vaughn and Joanne Moore.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 26, from 10:00a.m. until 10:45a.m. at Bethel E Baptist Church. Funeral services, officiated by the Rev. Richard Fife, will follow at 11:00a.m. in the church. Graveside services, officiated by the Rev. J.T. Albea, will follow in the church cemetery. During other times, the family will be at their respective homes.
Flowers are accepted and contributions may be made in Mary Ann's memory to West End Baptist Church, Post Office Box 613, Elberton, GA 30635 or Bethel E Baptist Church, 2576 Calhoun Falls Highway, Elberton, GA 30635.
