With great sadness, the family announces the passing of Mrs. Mary Helen Saxon Glenn, 89, of Elberton, GA on Friday, December 19, 2025, following an extended period of declining health at High Shoals Rehabilitation Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Radford Maxwell Glenn.
Mrs. Glenn was born October 2, 1936, in Royston, GA to John Henry Saxon and Mary Helen Benton Saxon. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Elberton and was employed as an office manager for Belk and Walmart for many years prior to retiring.
She is survived by her son and daughters-in-law: Bruce and Julie Glenn, Wendy Glenn; grandchildren; Katie Hamala (Taylor), Meredith Glenn, Ashley Glenn, Logan Glenn (Brittany); sister; Sally Hozey and children Anne Gladden (Eric), Allison Deal (Sam); great grandson, Drew Hamala; nieces and nephews; Will Gladden, Megan Gladden, L.J. Deal and Samantha Deal.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son, Max Glenn and brother-in-law, Curt Hozey.
We would like to thank the exceptional staff at High Shoals Health & Rehabilitation Center and Affinis Hospice for the loving care she received.
Memorial services to celebrate her life will be held 12PM, Tuesday, December 23 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11AM to 11:45AM, prior to the service at Berry Funeral Home.
Flowers are optional and memorials can be made in her memory to First United Methodist Church of Elberton.
