Michael Shane Erwin

Mr. Michael Shane Erwin, 64, of Bullards Ferry Rd. Elberton, GA passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Piedmont Athens Hospital.

Mr. Erwin was born January 2, 1961 in Elberton, GA to Robert Edward Erwin and Alice Faye Beasley Erwin. He was a retired saw operator in the granite industry.

He is survived by sons: Michael Shane Erwin, II of Carlton, GA, Michael Adam Erwin of Lawrenceville, GA; Michael Levi Major of Comer, GA; step-sons: James Rodney Major of Elberton, GA, Robert Dale Major of Elberton, GA, step-daughters: Melissa Richey and Chrissy Lynn Richey both of Calhoun Falls, SC; his father: Robert Edward "Bob" Erwin; sisters: Debbie Erwin Rey and Robin Erwin Milburn; sixteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his wife Cynthia Lynn "Cindy" Todd Erwin and step-mother Julia Dixon Herndon Erwin.

Graveside services to celebrate Mike's and Cindy's life will be held 1PM, Saturday July 12, 2025 at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
