Michaele Helen Redman, 81, died at her home in Commerce, GA on Friday, February 2026.
Michaele was born in Long Branch, NJ on August 11, 1944, daughter of the late Harold and Josephine Breuning Redman. She worked as a waitress at several restaurants and as a health care worker. She served as a foster grandparent at JJ Harris and Barnett Shoals Elementary Schools in Athens for many years, and took great pride in doing so. Additionally, she gave to the community by serving at the food bank. She was an avid UGA Bulldogs fan and enjoyed thrifting - always on the lookout for anything with glitter, butterflies, or that sparkled.
She was a guiding force to her family as she loved selflessly and had such pride in all of them. Always expressing her love, she made sure to end a call or as some one left her house to end the visit telling them how much she loved them and to be careful. She loved music and was a Mom to all of her daughter’s friends.
Surviving are two daughters: DeAnn Seagraves and her husband Darrell of Commerce, GA, and Teresa Vaughter Rosencrantz of Beaufort, SC; son, Ernest “Buddy” Wadley of Athens, GA; siblings: Kenneth Redman of MS and April Lanzetti of NJ; grandchildren: Kelly Jacobs, Krista Wadley, Ellen Rosencrantz, and Lauren Rosencrantz; great-grandchild, Jace Jacobs; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be planned for Spring 2026. Those details will be announced as soon as they become available.
