Mrs. Patricia Ann “Pat” Bond Kellum, 85, of 1955 Hartwell Highway, Elberton, beloved wife of 66 years to Donald Estee Kellum, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.
Born at home in Elberton on April 15, 1941, Pat was the sixth of seven children of the late Teasley Oliver “T.O.” Bond and Nettie Evelyn Porterfield Bond. A proud 1959 graduate of Elberton High School, Pat built a life centered on faith, family, and service to others. Her greatest joy was being a homemaker—raising three children, nurturing her grandchildren, and creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love. She also worked faithfully alongside Don at the family business, Georgia Memorials, Inc., where her steady presence and kind spirit were felt by all who knew her.
Pat was a devoted member of Northside Baptist Church, where she spent many joyful years singing in the choir. She had a gift for making others feel welcome and loved, and her voice—both in song and in everyday life—was a source of comfort and encouragement. Pat was an exceptional cook, known for her delicious meals that brought family and friends together around the table. She was also an avid gardener with a remarkable ability to grow nearly anything she touched. Whether cheering from the sidelines, attending recitals, or celebrating milestones, she was a steadfast supporter of every endeavor her children and grandchildren pursued.
Above all, Pat was a wonderful wife, a devoted mother, a proud grandmother, and a cherished friend. Her life was a beautiful reflection of love, faith, kindness, and selflessness. She poured her heart into her family and touched countless lives with her compassion, wisdom, and gentle spirit. Her legacy will live on in the many people who were blessed to know her.
In addition to her husband, Don, she is survived by her children and their spouses: Kurt and Sullivan Kellum, Mitzi and Ed Faust, and Amy and Andy Yeargin, all of Elberton; her grandchildren and their spouses: Devin Okey and Abby Carlson, Butler and Mecessa Burnette, Suzannah and Lewis Kroll, Brantley Yeargin, and Mary Meagan Kellum; her great‑grandchildren: Chase Helms, Archie Kroll, and Collins Cate Burnette; and her honorary grandson, Art Meethawolgul. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members who loved her dearly.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings: Mary Hutto, Oliver Bond, Curtis Bond, Nadine Young, Annie Kepley, and Terry Bond.
Her life will be celebrated on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Berry Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 2:00p.m. and the service will immediately follow at 3:00p.m. Burial will be at a later date in Elberton’s Historic Elmhurst Cemetery.
Flowers are accepted, and contributions may be made in her memory to Northside Baptist Church, 384 N. Oliver Street, Elberton, GA 30635.
