Phyllis Mary Davenport

Mrs. Phyllis Mary McCarter Davenport, 79, of Almond Dr., Comer, GA wife of the late Bennett Wayne Davenport passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at her home.

Mrs. Davenport was born December 20, 1936 in Boyds Creek, TN to the late Walter Pleas McCarter and Dora McCarter. She was a retired nurse.

Survivors include a son Bennett Wayne Davenport, II of Comer, GA; daughter Kimberlea Denise Davenport Meiner of Orlando, FL; siblings Ralph McCarter, Gene McCarter, Alice Law, Bea McGee; half sister Dale McCarter; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Davenport's wishes were to be cremated and inurnment to be at Evergreen Cemetery in Woodbury, TN. No services are planned at this time.

Berry Funeral Home and Crematory of Elberton is in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Phyllis Mary McCarter Davenport.
