Pressley Gene Swilling

Mr. Pressley Gene "Dugar" Swilling, 73, of Cedar Street, Elberton, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023, at his residence. 

Mr. Swilling was born July 5, 1950 in Anderson, SC to James Bernice "Barney" Swilling and Arietta Rebecca Moon Swilling. He was a member of Elberton Church of God and was a retired stone cutter. He loved spending time with his family and watching the University of Georgia Bulldogs.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Duggar and Joanna Swilling; daughter: Stephanie Swilling; grandchildren: Logan Peters, Casey Peters, Aaiden Swilling, Parker Adams, Emily Adams and Maddox Swilling; a special great-nephew: Zier Swilling and many other nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife: Cynthia Lynn Simmons Swilling; sisters: Judy Bonds, Linda McAnespy and brother: James Swilling.

Memorial services to celebrate his life will be held 2PM, Wednesday, November 15 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Fife officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Berry Funeral Home.
