Rev. Thomas F. Whitfield Sr.

He was a son of the late Clarence Whitfield and Ida Bryant Whitfield, and a U.S. Navy veteran serving in WWII. Survivors include daughters Ann Vaughn, and Lois Duggan, sons Thomas F. Whitfield Jr., and Rev. David Whitfield, a sister Lucille Murphy, 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Rosetta Hamby Whitfield, and a son Paul Whitfield. Funeral services will be held Wednesday September 30, at 2PM at Freedom Church of God in Jackson County. The family will receive friends from 7-9PM Tuesday night at Berry Funeral Home. Flowers are optional and memorials may be made in his honor to a charity of one's choice.
