Richard Wayne Simons

Mr. Richard Wayne Simons, 63, of Marietta, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2019, at Tranquility Hospice at Kennesaw Mountain.

Wayne was born on July 31, 1955 in Marietta, son of the late Jack and Elizabeth Estell Chapman Simons of the Fortsonia Community in Elberton. He was retired from General Motors.

He is survived by his sister, Regina Johnson of Dahlonega; brother, Keith Simons of Marietta; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Simons.

Memorial services celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, August 24, at 2 o'clock at Sandy Cross Baptist Church in Crawfordville with the Rev. John Autry officiating. Private burial preceded the service in the churchyard.
