Ricky Bernard Willis

Ricky Bernard Willis, 61, of Elberton, Georgia, son of Frances Mattox Willis and the late Ralph Willis, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 24, 2023, at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital. 

Ricky was a 1980 graduate of Elbert County Comprehensive High School and a member of Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church where at an early age he sang in the junior and male choirs. 

He is survived by his mother, Frances Mattox Willis of Elberton, Georgia; son, Quinn Bennett of Elberton, Georgia; grandson, Lemarion Rucker of Elberton, Georgia; brothers: Russell Willis (Kimberly) of Suwanee, Georgia, and Rodney Willis (Ashely) of Elberton, Georgia; sister, Barbara Ardister of Melbourne, Florida; aunt, Patrice Holland of Conyers, Georgia; uncle, Charles Mattox (Elaine) of Riverdale, Georgia; special friend, Jenell Crew of Lincolnton, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.  Ricky will be dearly missed.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Sanctuary of Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Elberton, Georgia.  The family will be receiving neighbors and friends at the home of Frances Willis, 1014 Walls Drive in Elberton.
