Robert Eugene Funderburk

Mr. Robert E. Funderburk, age 63, of Dewy Rose died April 19, 2009. Mr. Funderburk was born in Atlanta, GA, the son of the late George Henry Funderburk and Ester Lorraine Connan Funderburk.He was a devoted husband and father and worked as a welder for Whitlow Electric for over 20 years.He was preceded in death by his son, Robert E. Funderburk, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Sara N. “Nell” Funderburk; daughter, Marie (her husband, Patrick) Glenn; son John (his wife, Tara) Funderburk, all of Elberton; brothers, Grady Funderburk, of Augusta, and Dennis Funderburk, of Athens; sisters, Glenda Funderburk, of LA, and Georgia Segars, of Bogart. Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday April 22, 2009 at 2:00 at Elmhurst Cemetery.The family will receive friends Tuesday evening 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Hicks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
