Mr. Ronald Winfred "Ronnie" Grimes, 77, of Pulliam Mill Road, Dewy Rose, husband of Michele Joan "Mickey" Grimes, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at his residence. 

Ronnie was born in Elberton on April 23, 1949, and was a 1968 graduate of Elbert County High School. He was a stone cutter having retired from King's Monument Company. Ronnie enjoyed hunting and fishing, and never missed an opportunity to enjoy a good yard sale. He loved riding motorcycles and playing guitar and making music. 

Surviving, in addition to his wife Mickey, to whom he was married on December 13, 1969, are his children: Tami (Johnny) Berryman of Canon and Billy (Crystal Dye) Grimes of Elberton; sister, Tricia (Eddie) Grizzle of Elberton; grandchildren: Kyle Campbell, Chelsea (Brent) Driscoll, Mackenzi (Kyle) Rosier, Brody Grimes, Brittin Grimes, and Briar Grimes; and great-grandchildren: Bailey, Dawson, Maverick, Hudson, and Madilyn. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Billy Matthew Grimes and Naomi Ruth Smith Grimes. 

A time of visitation celebrating Ronnie's life will be held on Sunday, May 17, from 2:00p.m. until 4:00p.m. at Berry Funeral Home. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery at a later date.
