Roy Mason

Roy Mason, age 82, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026. 

A native of Butler, Alabama, Roy was the son of the late Luther Boman and Neiter Cupp Mason. Roy was preceded in death by his wife Mary Frances Payne Mason; children; Michael Fields, Pam Fields, Nancy Fields; siblings; Luther Roland (Sara) Mason, Sylvia Mason. Roy was a US Army Veteran and was a retired welder.

Survivors include siblings; Alice Barber, Earl Ray (Teresa) Mason; grandchildren; Tiffany (Greg) Bearden, Kevin (Lynn) Fields, Eric Fields, Rhonda (Phil) Rice, James Smith, Shane (Megan) Lunsford; 18 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home at 12pm on Wednesday April 8, 2026. Rev. Travis Cox will officiate. Burial will follow at Elmhurst Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11am until service time on Wednesday prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Chad Mason, Lynn Dunn, Jeremy Bowman, Zach Bearden, Blake Elrod, Greg Bearden.

Berry Funeral Home & Crematory, Elberton, has charge of arrangements.
