Roy Norman Dove

Mr. Roy Norman Dove, age 73, of Elberton died November 26, 2008 in Elbert Memorial Hospital. He was born in Elbert County, GA to the late Roy Fred Dove and Sara Elizabeth Ethridge Dove.He was the retired owner of Southern Galleries on Elberton Town Square, and a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul Dove and Butch Dove; and his sister, JoAnn Pruitt. He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Marian Schroeder Dove; sons, Ted Dove, John (wife, Renee) Dove; daughter, Sandra (husband, Duane) Thompson, all of Elberton; Four grandchildren, brother, Harold (wife, Sue) Dove, of Anderson, SC; sisters, Arlene Whitlow and Beth (husband, Bill) Dotson, all of Elberton. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 28, at 11:00 AM in Hicks Funeral Home Chapel.Pastor Tom Smith officiating.Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery.The family will receive friends Friday morning, 10-11 AM at the funeral home prior to the service. Hicks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
