Sandra Kay Lapierre

Mrs. Sandra Myers Lapierre, age 53, of Comer, GA died November 11, 2008. Mrs. Lapierre was the daughter of the late Nancy Cook Myers and Vaughn Myers.She was very involved in the Boy Scouts of America as an instructor in all fields, and she was the first female Scoutmaster in the Cherokee District of Georgia.She is survived by her husband, Ron Lapierre of Comer; daughter, Jennifer Glenn of Bowling Green; sons, Michael Cox of Bowling Green, Eric Lapierre and Justin Lapierre, both of Comer; grandson, Michael Wayne Cox of Bowling Green; sister, Pat Heller-Bramblett of Woodstock, GA. A funeral mass will be held Friday, November 14 at 11:00 AM in St. Mary’s Catholic Church.Father Chris Williams, celebrant.The family will be receiving friends Thursday 1-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Hicks Funeral Home in Elberton, GA.Those desiring may make contributions in Mrs. Lapierre’s name to Friends of Scouting NEGA Council P.
