Sherry Elaine Hale Sutherland

Sherry Elaine Sutherland, age 58, of Elberton, passed away on February 7, 2026.

Sherry was born June 12, 1967 at Kennestone Hospital Marietta in Cobb County, GA, daughter of Albert Hale and Barbara Stephens. Sherry was a homemaker and was involved in many activities in Athens, GA for 35 years. She married Johnny Sutherland on October 1, 2012.

Survivors include her husband of 13 years, John Sutherland; children: Keena Lee, Daniel Lee, and Beau Lee; mother; Barbara Stephens; father Fred Thagard; 3 sisters; a number of grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
