Shirley Bobo

Miss Shirley Bobo, 63, of Brewers Bridge Road, Elberton, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital surrounded by her family.

Shirley was born in Elberton on February 22, 1963, daughter of the late James Goodman “Shine” Bobo and Margie Gantt Bobo Trotter. She was 1981 graduate of Elbert County High School, and later in life, obtained an associates degree in business from Athens Technical College. Shirley is most remembered from working as a sales associate at Premier Electronics in Elberton. She was a longtime member of Grace Baptist Church and later became a member of Believers Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Bobo of Danielsville; half-brother, Tim Trotter of Elberton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her step-father, James Rufus Trotter; and siblings: Iris Davis, Faye Pierce, Thomas Bobo, and James Bobo.
