Talmadge Leroy Cook

Talmadge Leroy Cook, 75, of 3958 Cooter Creek Road, Elberton, husband of Kathy Suckel Cook, died Friday, March 29, 2013, at his residence. Mr. Cook was born in Calhoun Falls, October 4, 1937, to the late Allie Mae Prince. He was a master welder, U.S. Army Veteran having served in the Korean War, and a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Kathy Suckel Cook of the home; daughters, Polly Cook of Lowndesville, SC and Misty Bailey and her husband James of Elberton; grandchildren, Kyle, Andrew, and Marty Bailey, Gail Whitehead, and Joy Compton; great-grandchild, Camerin Compton; step-daughters, Robin Pitts and her husband Charles and Jody Thomas and her husband Henry; step-grandchildren, Emily, Kaitlyn, and Zachary Pitts, Corie Johnson and her husband Aaron, and Joshua Thomas; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by children, Johnny and Tammy Cook. Memorial services celebrating his life will be held at 3:00PM Tuesday, April 2, in the Woodlawn United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sharon Coley officiating. Entombment will follow in the Forest Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00PM Monday evening.
