Tempie Kelley Moore

Tempie Kelley Moore, age 84 of Hartwell, Georgia went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 17, 2026.

Born May 11, 1941, she was the daughter of the late William Thomas Kelley and Phoebe Dickerson Kelley.

Tempie was a graduate of Elbert County High School. She was a former employee of Dunlop Sports and retired from Springs Industries of Hartwell. She was also a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church.

She was blessed with a loving marriage to her late husband, Joseph “Bo” Moore of 53 years. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Kelley Bridges.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.

She is survived by her three children: Janice (Bart) Smith of Anderson, SC, Gale (Ben) Dickerson of Iva, SC, Dale (Gretchen) Moore of Franklin, TN; five grandchildren: Holly (Ryan) Moon of Anderson, SC, Kayte Moore of Buckhead, GA, Colby (Melissa) Smith of Simpsonville, SC, Jake Moore of Nashville, TN and Cassady Griffin of Franklin, TN, two great grandchildren: Preston Smith and Wyatt Moon . She is also survived by her cherished sister, Jane Dotson of Elberton, GA.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 20, 2026 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

Funeral services for Mrs. Tempie Moore will be Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with Pastor Wade Dotson officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
