Thomas Neal Cromer

Mr. Thomas 'Neal' Cromer, age 87, entered into rest on Sunday evening, July 2, 2023, at his residence on Cromer Road in Elberton, GA. 

Neal was born in Calhoun Falls, SC on February 22, 1936, son of the late Edrew Vardell Cromer and Sarah Willie Haralson Cromer. He served his country faithfully in the United States Army and worked most of his life in the granite industry at Star Granite Company. After retirement, Neal became the owner/operator of Cromer Auto Diesel and Electric. Neal was known for his sense of humor and generous spirit, along with his great love for Jesus, his family, his farm, and playing the guitar.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Mary Ellen Brock Cromer; daughters: Melisande "Mel" and Doug Jackson of Milledgeville, GA and Amanda Kiriakos of Elberton, GA; and three grandchildren: Lauren Jackson, Clay Jackson, and Sara Jackson.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son-in-law, Steve Kiriakos; and brother, William Hoyt "Billy" Cromer. 

There will be a visitation for family and friends on Saturday, July 15, from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm at the home of Amanda Kiriakos, 1388 Brown Brothers Road, Elberton, GA. Burial will be in Latimer Cemetery in Calhoun Falls, SC.
