Travis O'Dale "Peanut" Brown

Mr. Travis O’Dale Brown, affectionately known as “Peanut”, age 39, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at his residence. 

Peanut was born in Elberton on June 3, 1986, and graduated in 2004 from Elbert County High School. He furthered his studies at Athens Technical College, where he learned as much as he could about mechanics. He worked as a mechanic most of his life, and thoroughly loved and enjoyed his work. He was a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church and enjoyed spoiling children. An avid outdoorsman, he loved spending time fishing.

Surviving are his mother, Mary L. Brown of Elberton; father, Travis O’Neal Davis of Elberton; sons: Trenton Brown and Trevor Brown; siblings: Veronica Davis of Athens, Justin Davis of Elberton, Antonio Brown of Elberton, Shakilya Davis of Florida, and Zaquandria McDaniel of Florida; special grandmother, Beatrice Allen Brown of Elberton; grandmother, Shirley Davis of Elberton; special cousins who were like sisters: Resheda Harper, Santana Harper, Dee Dee Perrin, Alexis Bussey, Talia Brown and Chastity Brown; several nieces and nephews; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. 

Funeral services celebrating Peanut’s life will be conducted on Sunday, November 2, at 2:00p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Baptist Church cemetery. The family is at the residence. At the family’s request, there will be no public viewing.
