Vera Helen Johnson

Mrs. Vera Helen Carter Johnson, 81, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024.

Mrs. Johnson was born May 29, 1942 in Lithonia, GA, to Clarence Thomas “C.T.” Carter and Methie Callaway Carter Shelnut. She was a member of Winterville First Baptist Church and was a retired bank teller. In her spare time she enjoyed reading and gardening. 

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Troy and Kelly Palmer of Monroe, GA, Mark and Rhonda Palmer of Athens, GA; sisters: Brenda Norman of Lexington, GA, Kathy Campbell of Saluda, SC; eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Andrew Johnson.

Private graveside funeral services will be held at Arnoldsville City Cemetery.
